Emma Browning

Emma Browning was born in Richmond, Virginia in 1989. From the very beginning she has had an obsession with the ocean. She had always wanted to become a scuba diver and finally got the opportunity to do so in college in 2009. Emma graduated from East Carolina University with two bachelor degrees in Theatre Arts and Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology and a minor in French.

Emma was deeply involved in the scuba diving program at the University for 2 ½ years. She obtained her advanced, master and rescue certifications during that time also. She has done many dives on wrecks in Key Largo and off of Morehead City in NC. In her opinion, no dive is complete without seeing a shark or two. This summer she plans on getting her divemaster certification.

In the Fall, Emma will attend the University of Leicester and get her Masters Degree in Archaeology with a pathway in Bioarchaeology. While in Britain, she plans on diving in as many countries as humanly possible. In the future, Emma plans on combining her love of diving with her academic degrees by conducting underwater excavations in the Mediterranean or by making underwater shipwreck documentaries.
