Chris's affinity for the water stared at an early age. While many people say they "grew up on the water", few people can claim that they actually had a crib bolted to the deck of a Trojan Cabin Cruiser. Soon after he went from
crawl to walk, his family sold the boat and opted for a second home in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. For the next twenty years, every spare moment was spent exploring the waters and beaches of the Outer Banks from the Wildlife Preserve in Back bay to Blackbeard's hideout on Ocracoke Island.
By his early 20's, Chris was on the waiting list to join the Coast Guard when his best friend threw him an unexpected "course change". On the chance of a Blind Date, Chris was introduced to the "love of my Life" and now wife of 14 years, Margaret. Switching gears again, Chris opted to remove his name from the waiting list and instead, help manage his family's automotive business in Richmond Virginia. Having a natural mechanical aptitude and being a computer geek as well, Chris started a second business building custom computer equipment. After juggling multiple businesses' for over a decade and a half, he realized it was time for a change.
It a strange twist of fate, the very same friend who set him up on a blind date 15 years earlier, got him to try what is becoming his new passion, Scuba Diving. Joining the Atlantis Divers "Family" has allowed him to blend his technical experience with his old..and new passions.
